Reactions
The intensity of the reactions varies for each horse, according to the problems generated by the luxated Atlas. It does, unfortunately, happen in some particularly serious cases, that a reinsertion of the Atlas cannot be carried out any more!
The horse must be resting a few days and resume its work progressively to redevelop the muscles without pain.
The most current reactions following the manipulation of the Atlas are the following:
• Tiredness
• Revelation of latent diseases (to be treated with the veterinary)
• Muscular aches around the neck, the back, lumbar, of the pelvis, in which case it is important to resume work with much softness.
In certain cases, a medical or osteopathic cure is necessary.
